KUALA LUMPUR: As at 6 pm today, water supply has been restored to 805 or 93.5 per cent of the 861 areas in seven localities in the Klang Valley that have experienced water cuts since yesterday.
Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) corporate communications head Elina Baseri said water supply in areas in Petaling, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor and Kuala Selangor had been fully restored, while in Klang/Shah Alam it was 91.6 per cent, Kuala Langat (90 per cent) and Gombak (85.6 per cent).
“Alternative water supply is still available at public taps and local service centres (PKS) for the convenience of consumers who are still affected,” she said in a statement today.
Water supply disruption occurred when the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in Rantau Panjang and the WTP in Sungai Selangor Phases 1, 2 and 3 stopped operations yesterday due to raw water pollution in Sungai Selangor.YOU MAY ALSO LIKE
Air Selangor advised consumers to comply with the regulations of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) when getting water supply from tanker lorries, PKS and public taps.
